Al-Maa'un · Almsgiving

بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

1. 107:1

   أَرَءَيۡتَ ٱلَّذِي يُكَذِّبُ بِٱلدِّينِ﴿١﴾

   Have you seen the one who denies the Recompense?

2. 107:2

   فَذَٰلِكَ ٱلَّذِي يَدُعُّ ٱلۡيَتِيمَ﴿٢﴾

   For that is the one who drives away the orphan

3. 107:3

   وَلَا يَحُضُّ عَلَىٰ طَعَامِ ٱلۡمِسۡكِينِ﴿٣﴾

   And does not encourage the feeding of the poor.

4. 107:4

   فَوَيۡلࣱ لِّلۡمُصَلِّينَ﴿٤﴾

   So woe to those who pray

5. 107:5

   ٱلَّذِينَ هُمۡ عَن صَلَاتِهِمۡ سَاهُونَ﴿٥﴾

   [But] who are heedless of their prayer²⁰⁰⁰ -

6. 107:6

   ٱلَّذِينَ هُمۡ يُرَآءُونَ﴿٦﴾

   Those who make show [of their deeds]

7. 107:7

   وَيَمۡنَعُونَ ٱلۡمَاعُونَ﴿٧﴾

   And withhold [simple] assistance.
