بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

1. 77:1

   وَٱلۡمُرۡسَلَٰتِ عُرۡفࣰا﴿١﴾

   By those [winds] sent forth in gusts

2. 77:2

   فَٱلۡعَٰصِفَٰتِ عَصۡفࣰا﴿٢﴾

   And the winds that blow violently

3. 77:3

   وَٱلنَّٰشِرَٰتِ نَشۡرࣰا﴿٣﴾

   And [by] the winds that spread [clouds]

4. 77:4

   فَٱلۡفَٰرِقَٰتِ فَرۡقࣰا﴿٤﴾

   And those [angels] who bring criterion¹⁸¹⁶

5. 77:5

   فَٱلۡمُلۡقِيَٰتِ ذِكۡرًا﴿٥﴾

   And those [angels] who deliver a message

6. 77:6

   عُذۡرًا أَوۡ نُذۡرًا﴿٦﴾

   As justification or warning,

7. 77:7

   إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَوَٰقِعࣱ﴿٧﴾

   Indeed, what you are promised is to occur.

8. 77:8

   فَإِذَا ٱلنُّجُومُ طُمِسَتۡ﴿٨﴾

   So when the stars are obliterated

9. 77:9

   وَإِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ فُرِجَتۡ﴿٩﴾

   And when the heaven is opened

10. 77:10

    وَإِذَا ٱلۡجِبَالُ نُسِفَتۡ﴿١٠﴾

    And when the mountains are blown away

11. 77:11

    وَإِذَا ٱلرُّسُلُ أُقِّتَتۡ﴿١١﴾

    And when the messengers' time has come...¹⁸¹⁷

12. 77:12

    لِأَيِّ يَوۡمٍ أُجِّلَتۡ﴿١٢﴾

    For what Day was it postponed?¹⁸¹⁸

13. 77:13

    لِيَوۡمِ ٱلۡفَصۡلِ﴿١٣﴾

    For the Day of Judgement.

14. 77:14

    وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا يَوۡمُ ٱلۡفَصۡلِ﴿١٤﴾

    And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement?

15. 77:15

    وَيۡلࣱ يَوۡمَئِذࣲ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ﴿١٥﴾

    Woe,¹⁸¹⁹ that Day, to the deniers.

16. 77:16

    أَلَمۡ نُهۡلِكِ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ﴿١٦﴾

    Did We not destroy the former peoples?

17. 77:17

    ثُمَّ نُتۡبِعُهُمُ ٱلۡأٓخِرِينَ﴿١٧﴾

    Then We will follow them with the later ones.

18. 77:18

    كَذَٰلِكَ نَفۡعَلُ بِٱلۡمُجۡرِمِينَ﴿١٨﴾

    Thus do We deal with the criminals.

19. 77:19

    وَيۡلࣱ يَوۡمَئِذࣲ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ﴿١٩﴾

    Woe, that Day, to the deniers.

20. 77:20

    أَلَمۡ نَخۡلُقكُّم مِّن مَّآءࣲ مَّهِينࣲ﴿٢٠﴾

    Did We not create you from a liquid disdained?

21. 77:21

    فَجَعَلۡنَٰهُ فِي قَرَارࣲ مَّكِينٍ﴿٢١﴾

    And We placed it in a firm lodging [i.e., the womb]

22. 77:22

    إِلَىٰ قَدَرࣲ مَّعۡلُومࣲ﴿٢٢﴾

    For a known extent.

23. 77:23

    فَقَدَرۡنَا فَنِعۡمَ ٱلۡقَٰدِرُونَ﴿٢٣﴾

    And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine.

24. 77:24

    وَيۡلࣱ يَوۡمَئِذࣲ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ﴿٢٤﴾

    Woe, that Day, to the deniers.

25. 77:25

    أَلَمۡ نَجۡعَلِ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ كِفَاتًا﴿٢٥﴾

    Have We not made the earth a container

26. 77:26

    أَحۡيَآءࣰ وَأَمۡوَٰتࣰا﴿٢٦﴾

    Of the living and the dead?

27. 77:27

    وَجَعَلۡنَا فِيهَا رَوَٰسِيَ شَٰمِخَٰتࣲ وَأَسۡقَيۡنَٰكُم مَّآءࣰ فُرَاتࣰا﴿٢٧﴾

    And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water.

28. 77:28

    وَيۡلࣱ يَوۡمَئِذࣲ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ﴿٢٨﴾

    Woe, that Day, to the deniers.

29. 77:29

    ٱنطَلِقُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ مَا كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ﴿٢٩﴾

    [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny.

30. 77:30

    ٱنطَلِقُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ ظِلࣲّ ذِي ثَلَٰثِ شُعَبࣲ﴿٣٠﴾

    Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns

31. 77:31

    لَّا ظَلِيلࣲ وَلَا يُغۡنِي مِنَ ٱللَّهَبِ﴿٣١﴾

    [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame."

32. 77:32

    إِنَّهَا تَرۡمِي بِشَرَرࣲ كَٱلۡقَصۡرِ﴿٣٢﴾

    Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress,

33. 77:33

    كَأَنَّهُۥ جِمَٰلَتࣱ صُفۡرࣱ﴿٣٣﴾

    As if they were yellowish [black] camels.

34. 77:34

    وَيۡلࣱ يَوۡمَئِذࣲ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ﴿٣٤﴾

    Woe, that Day, to the deniers.

35. 77:35

    هَٰذَا يَوۡمُ لَا يَنطِقُونَ﴿٣٥﴾

    This is a Day they will not speak,

36. 77:36

    وَلَا يُؤۡذَنُ لَهُمۡ فَيَعۡتَذِرُونَ﴿٣٦﴾

    Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse.

37. 77:37

    وَيۡلࣱ يَوۡمَئِذࣲ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ﴿٣٧﴾

    Woe, that Day, to the deniers.

38. 77:38

    هَٰذَا يَوۡمُ ٱلۡفَصۡلِۖ جَمَعۡنَٰكُمۡ وَٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ﴿٣٨﴾

    This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples.

39. 77:39

    فَإِن كَانَ لَكُمۡ كَيۡدࣱ فَكِيدُونِ﴿٣٩﴾

    So if you have a plan, then plan against Me.

40. 77:40

    وَيۡلࣱ يَوۡمَئِذࣲ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ﴿٤٠﴾

    Woe, that Day, to the deniers.

41. 77:41

    إِنَّ ٱلۡمُتَّقِينَ فِي ظِلَٰلࣲ وَعُيُونࣲ﴿٤١﴾

    Indeed, the righteous will be among shades and springs

42. 77:42

    وَفَوَٰكِهَ مِمَّا يَشۡتَهُونَ﴿٤٢﴾

    And fruits from whatever they desire,

43. 77:43

    كُلُوا۟ وَٱشۡرَبُوا۟ هَنِيٓـَٔۢا بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَ﴿٤٣﴾

    [Being told], "Eat and drink in satisfaction for what you used to do."

44. 77:44

    إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجۡزِي ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِينَ﴿٤٤﴾

    Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good.

45. 77:45

    وَيۡلࣱ يَوۡمَئِذࣲ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ﴿٤٥﴾

    Woe, that Day, to the deniers.

46. 77:46

    كُلُوا۟ وَتَمَتَّعُوا۟ قَلِيلًا إِنَّكُم مُّجۡرِمُونَ﴿٤٦﴾

    [O disbelievers], eat and enjoy yourselves a little; indeed, you are criminals.

47. 77:47

    وَيۡلࣱ يَوۡمَئِذࣲ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ﴿٤٧﴾

    Woe, that Day, to the deniers.

48. 77:48

    وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ٱرۡكَعُوا۟ لَا يَرۡكَعُونَ﴿٤٨﴾

    And when it is said to them, "Bow [in prayer]," they do not bow.

49. 77:49

    وَيۡلࣱ يَوۡمَئِذࣲ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ﴿٤٩﴾

    Woe, that Day, to the deniers.

50. 77:50

    فَبِأَيِّ حَدِيثِۭ بَعۡدَهُۥ يُؤۡمِنُونَ﴿٥٠﴾

    Then in what statement after it [i.e., the Qur’ān] will they believe?
