بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

1. 55:1

   ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنُ﴿١﴾

   The Most Merciful

2. 55:2

   عَلَّمَ ٱلۡقُرۡءَانَ﴿٢﴾

   Taught the Qur’ān,

3. 55:3

   خَلَقَ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ﴿٣﴾

   Created man,

4. 55:4

   عَلَّمَهُ ٱلۡبَيَانَ﴿٤﴾

   [And] taught him eloquence.

5. 55:5

   ٱلشَّمۡسُ وَٱلۡقَمَرُ بِحُسۡبَانࣲ﴿٥﴾

   The sun and the moon [move] by precise calculation,

6. 55:6

   وَٱلنَّجۡمُ وَٱلشَّجَرُ يَسۡجُدَانِ﴿٦﴾

   And the stars and trees prostrate.¹⁵⁹³

7. 55:7

   وَٱلسَّمَآءَ رَفَعَهَا وَوَضَعَ ٱلۡمِيزَانَ﴿٧﴾

   And the heaven He raised and imposed the balance

8. 55:8

   أَلَّا تَطۡغَوۡا۟ فِي ٱلۡمِيزَانِ﴿٨﴾

   That you not transgress within the balance.

9. 55:9

   وَأَقِيمُوا۟ ٱلۡوَزۡنَ بِٱلۡقِسۡطِ وَلَا تُخۡسِرُوا۟ ٱلۡمِيزَانَ﴿٩﴾

   And establish weight in justice and do not make deficient the balance.

10. 55:10

    وَٱلۡأَرۡضَ وَضَعَهَا لِلۡأَنَامِ﴿١٠﴾

    And the earth He laid [out] for the creatures.

11. 55:11

    فِيهَا فَٰكِهَةࣱ وَٱلنَّخۡلُ ذَاتُ ٱلۡأَكۡمَامِ﴿١١﴾

    Therein is fruit and palm trees having sheaths [of dates]

12. 55:12

    وَٱلۡحَبُّ ذُو ٱلۡعَصۡفِ وَٱلرَّيۡحَانُ﴿١٢﴾

    And grain having husks and scented plants.

13. 55:13

    فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ﴿١٣﴾

    So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?¹⁵⁹⁴

14. 55:14

    خَلَقَ ٱلۡإِنسَٰنَ مِن صَلۡصَٰلࣲ كَٱلۡفَخَّارِ﴿١٤﴾

    He created man from clay like [that of] pottery.

15. 55:15

    وَخَلَقَ ٱلۡجَآنَّ مِن مَّارِجࣲ مِّن نَّارࣲ﴿١٥﴾

    And He created the jinn from a smokeless flame of fire.

16. 55:16

    فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ﴿١٦﴾

    So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

17. 55:17

    رَبُّ ٱلۡمَشۡرِقَيۡنِ وَرَبُّ ٱلۡمَغۡرِبَيۡنِ﴿١٧﴾

    [He is] Lord of the two sunrises and Lord of the two sunsets.¹⁵⁹⁵

18. 55:18

    فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ﴿١٨﴾

    So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

19. 55:19

    مَرَجَ ٱلۡبَحۡرَيۡنِ يَلۡتَقِيَانِ﴿١٩﴾

    He released the two seas,¹⁵⁹⁶ meeting [one another];

20. 55:20

    بَيۡنَهُمَا بَرۡزَخࣱ لَّا يَبۡغِيَانِ﴿٢٠﴾

    Between them is a barrier so neither of them transgresses.

21. 55:21

    فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ﴿٢١﴾

    So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

22. 55:22

    يَخۡرُجُ مِنۡهُمَا ٱللُّؤۡلُؤُ وَٱلۡمَرۡجَانُ﴿٢٢﴾

    From both of them emerge pearl and coral.

23. 55:23

    فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ﴿٢٣﴾

    So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

24. 55:24

    وَلَهُ ٱلۡجَوَارِ ٱلۡمُنشَـَٔاتُ فِي ٱلۡبَحۡرِ كَٱلۡأَعۡلَٰمِ﴿٢٤﴾

    And to Him belong the ships [with sails] elevated in the sea like mountains.

25. 55:25

    فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ﴿٢٥﴾

    So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

26. 55:26

    كُلُّ مَنۡ عَلَيۡهَا فَانࣲ﴿٢٦﴾

    Everyone upon it [i.e., the earth] will perish,

27. 55:27

    وَيَبۡقَىٰ وَجۡهُ رَبِّكَ ذُو ٱلۡجَلَٰلِ وَٱلۡإِكۡرَامِ﴿٢٧﴾

    And there will remain the Face¹⁵⁹⁷ of your Lord, Owner of Majesty and Honor.

28. 55:28

    فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ﴿٢٨﴾

    So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

29. 55:29

    يَسۡـَٔلُهُۥ مَن فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۚ كُلَّ يَوۡمٍ هُوَ فِي شَأۡنࣲ﴿٢٩﴾

    Whoever is within the heavens and earth asks Him; every day He is in [i.e., bringing about] a matter.¹⁵⁹⁸

30. 55:30

    فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ﴿٣٠﴾

    So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

31. 55:31

    سَنَفۡرُغُ لَكُمۡ أَيُّهَ ٱلثَّقَلَانِ﴿٣١﴾

    We will attend to you, O prominent beings.¹⁵⁹⁹

32. 55:32

    فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ﴿٣٢﴾

    So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

33. 55:33

    يَٰمَعۡشَرَ ٱلۡجِنِّ وَٱلۡإِنسِ إِنِ ٱسۡتَطَعۡتُمۡ أَن تَنفُذُوا۟ مِنۡ أَقۡطَارِ ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ فَٱنفُذُوا۟ۚ لَا تَنفُذُونَ إِلَّا بِسُلۡطَٰنࣲ﴿٣٣﴾

    O company of jinn and mankind, if you are able to pass beyond the regions of the heavens and the earth, then pass. You will not pass except by authority [from Allāh].

34. 55:34

    فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ﴿٣٤﴾

    So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

35. 55:35

    يُرۡسَلُ عَلَيۡكُمَا شُوَاظࣱ مِّن نَّارࣲ وَنُحَاسࣱ فَلَا تَنتَصِرَانِ﴿٣٥﴾

    There will be sent upon you a flame of fire and smoke,¹⁶⁰⁰ and you will not defend yourselves.

36. 55:36

    فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ﴿٣٦﴾

    So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

37. 55:37

    فَإِذَا ٱنشَقَّتِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ فَكَانَتۡ وَرۡدَةࣰ كَٱلدِّهَانِ﴿٣٧﴾

    And when the heaven is split open and becomes rose-colored like oil¹⁶⁰¹ -

38. 55:38

    فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ﴿٣٨﴾

    So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -

39. 55:39

    فَيَوۡمَئِذࣲ لَّا يُسۡـَٔلُ عَن ذَنۢبِهِۦٓ إِنسࣱ وَلَا جَآنࣱّ﴿٣٩﴾

    Then on that Day none will be asked about his sin among men or jinn.¹⁶⁰²

40. 55:40

    فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ﴿٤٠﴾

    So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

41. 55:41

    يُعۡرَفُ ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَ بِسِيمَٰهُمۡ فَيُؤۡخَذُ بِٱلنَّوَٰصِي وَٱلۡأَقۡدَامِ﴿٤١﴾

    The criminals will be known by their marks, and they will be seized by the forelocks and the feet.

42. 55:42

    فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ﴿٤٢﴾

    So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

43. 55:43

    هَٰذِهِۦ جَهَنَّمُ ٱلَّتِي يُكَذِّبُ بِهَا ٱلۡمُجۡرِمُونَ﴿٤٣﴾

    This is Hell, which the criminals deny.

44. 55:44

    يَطُوفُونَ بَيۡنَهَا وَبَيۡنَ حَمِيمٍ ءَانࣲ﴿٤٤﴾

    They will circulate between it and scalding water, heated [to the utmost degree].

45. 55:45

    فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ﴿٤٥﴾

    So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

46. 55:46

    وَلِمَنۡ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِۦ جَنَّتَانِ﴿٤٦﴾

    But for he who has feared the position of his Lord¹⁶⁰³ are two gardens -

47. 55:47

    فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ﴿٤٧﴾

    So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -

48. 55:48

    ذَوَاتَآ أَفۡنَانࣲ﴿٤٨﴾

    Having [spreading] branches.

49. 55:49

    فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ﴿٤٩﴾

    So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

50. 55:50

    فِيهِمَا عَيۡنَانِ تَجۡرِيَانِ﴿٥٠﴾

    In both of them are two springs, flowing.

51. 55:51

    فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ﴿٥١﴾

    So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

52. 55:52

    فِيهِمَا مِن كُلِّ فَٰكِهَةࣲ زَوۡجَانِ﴿٥٢﴾

    In both of them are of every fruit, two kinds.

53. 55:53

    فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ﴿٥٣﴾

    So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

54. 55:54

    مُتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَىٰ فُرُشِۭ بَطَآئِنُهَا مِنۡ إِسۡتَبۡرَقࣲۚ وَجَنَى ٱلۡجَنَّتَيۡنِ دَانࣲ﴿٥٤﴾

    [They are] reclining on beds whose linings are of silk brocade, and the fruit of the two gardens is hanging low.

55. 55:55

    فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ﴿٥٥﴾

    So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

56. 55:56

    فِيهِنَّ قَٰصِرَٰتُ ٱلطَّرۡفِ لَمۡ يَطۡمِثۡهُنَّ إِنسࣱ قَبۡلَهُمۡ وَلَا جَآنࣱّ﴿٥٦﴾

    In them are women limiting [their] glances,¹⁶⁰⁴ untouched¹⁶⁰⁵ before them by man or jinnī -

57. 55:57

    فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ﴿٥٧﴾

    So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -

58. 55:58

    كَأَنَّهُنَّ ٱلۡيَاقُوتُ وَٱلۡمَرۡجَانُ﴿٥٨﴾

    As if they were rubies and coral.¹⁶⁰⁶

59. 55:59

    فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ﴿٥٩﴾

    So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

60. 55:60

    هَلۡ جَزَآءُ ٱلۡإِحۡسَٰنِ إِلَّا ٱلۡإِحۡسَٰنُ﴿٦٠﴾

    Is the reward for good [anything] but good?

61. 55:61

    فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ﴿٦١﴾

    So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

62. 55:62

    وَمِن دُونِهِمَا جَنَّتَانِ﴿٦٢﴾

    And below them both [in excellence] are two [other] gardens -

63. 55:63

    فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ﴿٦٣﴾

    So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -

64. 55:64

    مُدۡهَآمَّتَانِ﴿٦٤﴾

    Dark green [in color].

65. 55:65

    فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ﴿٦٥﴾

    So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

66. 55:66

    فِيهِمَا عَيۡنَانِ نَضَّاخَتَانِ﴿٦٦﴾

    In both of them are two springs, spouting.

67. 55:67

    فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ﴿٦٧﴾

    So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

68. 55:68

    فِيهِمَا فَٰكِهَةࣱ وَنَخۡلࣱ وَرُمَّانࣱ﴿٦٨﴾

    In both of them are fruit and palm trees and pomegranates.

69. 55:69

    فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ﴿٦٩﴾

    So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

70. 55:70

    فِيهِنَّ خَيۡرَٰتٌ حِسَانࣱ﴿٧٠﴾

    In them are good and beautiful women -

71. 55:71

    فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ﴿٧١﴾

    So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -

72. 55:72

    حُورࣱ مَّقۡصُورَٰتࣱ فِي ٱلۡخِيَامِ﴿٧٢﴾

    Fair ones reserved in pavilions -

73. 55:73

    فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ﴿٧٣﴾

    So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -

74. 55:74

    لَمۡ يَطۡمِثۡهُنَّ إِنسࣱ قَبۡلَهُمۡ وَلَا جَآنࣱّ﴿٧٤﴾

    Untouched before them by man or jinnī -

75. 55:75

    فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ﴿٧٥﴾

    So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -

76. 55:76

    مُتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَىٰ رَفۡرَفٍ خُضۡرࣲ وَعَبۡقَرِيٍّ حِسَانࣲ﴿٧٦﴾

    Reclining on green cushions and beautiful fine carpets.

77. 55:77

    فَبِأَيِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ﴿٧٧﴾

    So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

78. 55:78

    تَبَٰرَكَ ٱسۡمُ رَبِّكَ ذِي ٱلۡجَلَٰلِ وَٱلۡإِكۡرَامِ﴿٧٨﴾

    Blessed is the name of your Lord, Owner of Majesty and Honor.
