Ad-Dhuhaa · The Morning Hours

بِسۡمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

1. 93:1

   وَٱلضُّحَىٰ﴿١﴾

   By the morning brightness

2. 93:2

   وَٱلَّيۡلِ إِذَا سَجَىٰ﴿٢﴾

   And [by] the night when it covers with darkness,¹⁹⁴¹

3. 93:3

   مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَىٰ﴿٣﴾

   Your Lord has not taken leave of you, [O Muḥammad], nor has He detested [you].

4. 93:4

   وَلَلۡأٓخِرَةُ خَيۡرࣱ لَّكَ مِنَ ٱلۡأُولَىٰ﴿٤﴾

   And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life].

5. 93:5

   وَلَسَوۡفَ يُعۡطِيكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرۡضَىٰٓ﴿٥﴾

   And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied.

6. 93:6

   أَلَمۡ يَجِدۡكَ يَتِيمࣰا فَـَٔاوَىٰ﴿٦﴾

   Did He not find you an orphan and give [you] refuge?

7. 93:7

   وَوَجَدَكَ ضَآلࣰّا فَهَدَىٰ﴿٧﴾

   And He found you lost and guided [you],

8. 93:8

   وَوَجَدَكَ عَآئِلࣰا فَأَغۡنَىٰ﴿٨﴾

   And He found you poor and made [you] self-sufficient.

9. 93:9

   فَأَمَّا ٱلۡيَتِيمَ فَلَا تَقۡهَرۡ﴿٩﴾

   So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him].

10. 93:10

    وَأَمَّا ٱلسَّآئِلَ فَلَا تَنۡهَرۡ﴿١٠﴾

    And as for the petitioner,¹⁹⁴² do not repel [him].

11. 93:11

    وَأَمَّا بِنِعۡمَةِ رَبِّكَ فَحَدِّثۡ﴿١١﴾

    But as for the favor of your Lord, report [it].
